She Should Have Been My Twin (:
In our younger years, Megan and I fought just like two sisters would. As we have gotten older, our relationship has become more than just sisters....We are like best friends. We talk daily on the phone, give each other advice, even if we don't use it, and try to spend a lot of time together. She is pregnant now with her first child, who will be called Benjamin Houston Weant. I am so excited for Houston's arrival I can't stand myself! I am so proud for her and Ben, as I know they will be the parents that I hope to be one day of my own children! Megan is a wonderful sister, and I could not ask for her to be any different. We are alike in a lot of ways, and different in a lot of ways, which is why I think our relationship is so great! Today is the DUE date for Houston to be born, but NOTHING yet! So, me, Megan, and mom are going to go walking this afternoon so that maybe it will help to bring on her labor!!!! I have been there for her from day one, helping to put things together, get things ready with his room, etc., as you know Ben works in Africa in the oilfield a month at a time. I am like her handy man when he is gone (: We can talk to each other about pretty much anything, and always know that the other one is listening. We go through a lot together as being family, and the most important thing family can offer is support to each other, and we give it full force!!!! She is my best friend, and I love her dearly! She has grown to be a wonderful woman, wife, and soon to be Mommy! I don't want to be just like Megan, but she has allowed me to look up to her as my big sis, and follow in her shoes of success. She has helped me, without physical help, to realize what life is all about, and how important it can be to focus on yourself! I love you Megan, and I can't wait for Houston to get here!! Like you said, Houston is going to have "One Helluva Sissy (:"!!!!!!
Changes For the Better (:
Dieting and weight loss have weighed heavy on my mind a lot lately. With my work schedule, and all the other things that are so chaotic in life, it has been hard to get my mind set and stay motivated to achieve either of them. Today I have decided that it is going to happen, no matter what. Me and mom are going to go walking with Megan this afternoon, and hopefully Houston will decide during or afterwards, that he is ready to arrive in this world, and we can have a baby!!! But, I have also been looking into the Zumba Fitness DVD set. I used to go to Zumba classes, but it got too costly for me at this point in my life. It was very fun, and nothing like going to the gym and working out! As soon as my check is deposited, I am ordering it! It is time to focus more on ME and the things that I need, and get it done! I have learned and realized that in order to lose weight and be healthy, you don't have to starve yourself, or live forever eating ONLY lettuce! It's about portion control, and what and how much you eat. It CAN and WILL be done! Don't worry, I will definitely keep you guys updated on my progress and success (: Anyone who has any pointers or advice, feel free to let me know!!!!

Blessed
Well...Here goes! I have never done anything like this before, but the more I read blogs from other people, the more I want to do it myself (: I have chosen to name this blog "Blessed" because I have been truly blessed in many ways that I was not expecting to get much. I graduated in December 2010, with my Bachelor's in Vocational Rehabilitation. In June, I started working for United Cerebral Palsy as a Job Coach. Once my internship started in August, I moved up as an Employment Specialist, which is a position where I assist adults with disabilities in finding and retaining competitive employment throughout the community. In September, I was hired by the agency of UCP for full-time, permanent employment. To me, that was a blessing. I know so many people who have worked there way up through college, and graduated with a degree who have yet to find employment degree related. This job was mentioned to me by two Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Kathy Wyatt and Janet Bryan. Those ladies are awesome, and are the greatest to work with. If it weren't for them, I would not have had this opportunity that has turned into a career for me. I do plan to move on and get my Master's in Vocational Rehabilitation in the future and they have all said that they would be more than willing to write letters of recommendation for me. To me, it is a blessing for someone to basically come to me to say that they want to write a letter. That is awesome! God has blessed me in so many ways that I would have never expected. It always seems he does them when you are least expecting anything. The reason I wrote this blog named "Blessed" is because I never thought once my last semester of school ended, before my internship, that I would be able to intern relating to my field of degree, AND get a job, long-term, with them!! This is an absolute blessing, in my eyes (: Well, again I am new at this, and don't really have anything else to say about this blog...at this point at least! I will definitely have more coming...I think I will really enjoy it (:
